Italo Vignoli has launched the certification project for professionals active in the field of migration to LibreOffice, and training for the use of LibreOffice. For this reason, he has been appointed Chairman of the Certification Committee of The Document Foundation, and in this capacity he has developed the certification process – with the related documents: the two migration and training protocols, based on best practices developed above all in Europe in the migration to FLOSS, certification pre-requisites, candidate application criteria, and bibliography – and has coordinated all activities from 2014 to 2017.
Today he is Co-Chairman of the Certification Committee, and is responsible for updating existing documents and developing content for training workshops for certification candidates. Furthermore, it has the task of compiling new documents on standard formats, on the competitive aspects of FLOSS and LibreOffice, and on the experiences of migration to FLOSS and LibreOffice.
Italo Vignoli is obviously a certified professional both for migrations to LibreOffice and for training in the use of LibreOffice. In this capacity, he advises companies and public bodies on both the methodology to be used for migration – based on the migration protocol of The Document Foundation – and on activities, in the role of project manager. Furthermore, it develops training courses focused on the specific needs of each organization, and manages classroom courses both individually and in collaboration with other certified trainers.
